Fringe Orchestra is an annual collaboration between Fluid Orchestra and the Conservatoire of Maastricht. Made up of the conservatoire’s students and alumni, the line-up combines three conventional formations: Symphony Orchestra, Big Band and Electric Band. In the Science of Groove Fringe Orchestra enters the periphery of Afro, jazz, punk and electro.

Info Re/invented Orchestra Scratch DJ Vindictiv – turntables Carlo Nardozza – trumpet and flugelhorn Frank Deruytter – tenor saxophone and electronics Jesse Passenier – composer and conductor Re/invented Orchestra is the annual collaboration between the Fluid Orchestra and the Conservatory of Maastricht. This edition, Fluid Orchestra leader Jesse Passenier composes a daring crossover, featuring DJ Vindictiv, trumpeter Carlo Nardozza and saxophonist Frank Deruytter. Made up of students and alumni of the Conservatory of Maastricht, the line-up merges and summarizes three conventional formations: the symphony orchestra, the big band and the electric band. This is in alignment with the mix of styles that Passenier sets out to bring to the stage, exploring the boundaries of classical, jazz, funk, drum ‘n bass and hip hop.
